Frans and Anna Jansen, owners/operators of Martin Pescador Lodge.
Martin Pescador is the Spanish name for the coastal Ringed Kingfisher.
Brown and Rainbow trout were introduced into Chile in the early 1900's for sport fishing.
Welcome to the Martín Pescador Lodge...
Patagonia's premiere fly fishing experience. Our diverse program offers three beautiful lodges to create one unforgettable fishing experience. This allows convenient access to over 12 rivers and 8 lakes. Frans and Anna Jansen have established a world-class operation of diverse fishing opportunities, wonderful food, and luxurious accommodations.
1. Santa Barbara:
Upon your arrival in Santa Barbara, you will be picked up by your host, Frans Jansen, and driven 45 minutes to the Puerto Cárdenas lodge set on the Rio Yelcho.
2. Puerto Cárdenas Lodge:
You fish the Lago Yelcho region for 3 days. On day 4, we pack and move your luggage to our La Junta lodge set on the Rio Rosselot. After a full day fishing, your guide will drive you to the La Junta Lodge.
3. La Junta Lodge:
You will fish for 3 more days. On the final night, we will prepare a traditional Chilean Asado. The following morning we will return you to Santa Barbara for your flight home.
4. Lago Verde Lodge:
If you wish, add 3 days to your trip and fish in Lago Verde. At the end of your stay you will be driven to Santa Barbara for your flight home.
"This was a fly fishing experience that tops all others because of the diversity of lake and river fishing. Big rainbows, big browns. And then the experience at the lodge renewed you for the next day." S.P. Birmingham, AL
